Subject to the conditions and exclusions stated below, GlassCraft Door Company, (GlassCraft) warrants that each stile and rail door will be free from defects in material and workmanship which would render the product unfit for normal and recommended use and service when installed in the continental USA. GlassCraft warrants this product only to the first purchaser of this product for purposes other than resale, or to the original purchaser of the residence into which such door is installed. This warranty covers only defects which become evident during the periods outlined below, provided that the owner gives written notice of such defects to GlassCraft Door Company, 2002 Brittmoore, Houston, Texas 77043, within the applicable time period. This warranty constitutes the sole and exclusive warranty offered by GlassCraft Door Company and has been drafted to comply with the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Federal Trade Commission Improvement Act which is effective for goods manufactured on or after December 31, 1976.
Wood Millwork
GlassCraft Door Company offers a limited warranty for one (1) year for Custom and Legacy doors, sidelights, transoms, and entryways and for five (5) years for Craftsman, Dynasty, Estancia, and Portobello doors, sidelights, transoms, and entryways from date of first purchase of the door, this warranty assuring that each such door, for this period, is of good material and workmanship and free from defects that would render the door unserviceable or unfit for the ordinary, recommended use. This warranty shall be void if the door has not been stored, installed, and maintained in a good and workmanlike manner. The following shall not be considered defects in Material or Workmanship, and are not covered by this warranty:
1. Warp for any 6’8” high door shall not exceed one-fourth inch in any plane of the door. Warp for any 8’0” high door shall not exceed one-half inch in any plane of the door. Doors wider and/or higher are not warranted against warp. Warp is any distortion in the door itself, and does not refer to the frame or jamb in which it is hung. The term warp shall include the related terms of bow, cup, and twist. If the claimed nonconformity is warp, GlassCraft may defer repairing or replacing the product for a period up to twelve (12) months from the date of the claim or the date when the product was installed, as it is not uncommon for a temporary warp condition to occur as the door adjusts to local humidity and temperature conditions.
2. Bow or nonalignment in the frame or jamb in which the door is hung.
3. Variations or unsatisfactory results in the finish, texture, or appearance resulting from the application of paint or other finishing materials. The physical appearance of the the door is not covered by this warranty.
4. Natural variation in wood color or texture, and the natural surface checking of the wood.
5. Damage caused beyond the control of GlassCraft, including but not limited to damage caused by misuse, abuse, accident, or mishandling, or by fire, flood, earthquake, storm, tornado, or other acts of nature.
6. Damage caused by failure to comply with the Finishing, Installation, Maintenance, and Warranty Information provided by GlassCraft, failure to perform normal homeowner maintenance, or by attempts other than by GlassCraft to repair the door.
7. Any and all damages resulting from exposure due to installation in an unprotected opening, such as an installation without sufficient roof overhang protection, which causes the door to be exposed to an unusual amount of direct sunlight and/or precipitation. Sufficient roof overhang depends upon the specific installation and weather patterns in the area of the installation, but typically means an overhang over the door or entry extending outwards from the entry or door for a distance of not less than one-half of the height elevation measured from the bottom of the door to the bottom of the overhang at the point that the overhang is furthest from the door or entry.
8. Surface checks in the door that are less than 1/16 in width or less than 2 in length.
9. Panel movement or shrinkage of 3/16 or less. Temperature, humidity and direct sunlight may cause the wood panels in your door to shrink slightly, leaving an unstained line along the edge of the panel. This movement is normal, and the door construction is designed to allow this movement.
10. Damage caused by installation of a storm door with the GlassCraft door.
11. Leakage in any Estancia Door around a speakeasy door opening.
12. Reducing the height of the door by removing more than 1 from the bottom rail and/or 1/2 from the top rail of the door. Reducing the width of the door by removing more than 1/2 from either side edge.
13. Custom Millwork products that are specifically not warrantied.
14. Appearance or performance of a knot in any Estancia Knotty Alder door.

Hi, we purchased GlassCraft fiberglass doors in 2003 from Santa Rosa stained glass & door co. They went out of business a couple of years ago. We really like our doors, but last year the little part that pulls the upper lock down broke. So if I want to unlock the stationary part I have to use pliers to pull the top part down. I don’t even know if there is warranty on this or who in Santa Rosa could fix this. I just noticed on my purchase agreement that they were GlassCraft(Dover L11551) Can you give me any help on this? Thanks for your time, Donna James
