The Dynasty Door

The Dynasty Door™ Series is a truly unique series of entry doors. These entryways are available in two wood choices . . . Antique Douglas Fir or Knotty Alder. The Antique Douglas Fir doors have a highly distressed finish to achieve their heavy, secure, old and weathered appearance. The Douglas Fir wood is 80 to 150 years old, and has been reclaimed from old buildings. The Knotty Alder doors have a smoother finish, relying upon the natural appearance of the “knotty” wood coupled with hand-applied finish to provide a beautiful and unique look. All Dynasty Doors are solid wood . . . no veneers are used in any of these hand-crafted products. All Dynasty doors are offer as finished and prehung double door entryways only. All doors are 36” wide by 96” tall.

All individual doors are 8 foot tall by 3 foot wide x 2” thick (nominal), and feature mortise and tenon construction. Entryways include four ball-bearing hinges, hardware shown in photos (clavos, decorative straps, wrought iron grills, weather stripping, threshold, and your choice of insulated glass options (where applicable on doors with wrought iron grills). Frame, t-astragal, prehanging and prefinishing is also included. Brick mold and interior casing is not included, and not available. Refer to the next page for available glass texture options. Please note that door nails and straps used on these doors are for decorative appearance and enhancement, and are not functional. Unit sizes are listed on page 11 of this catalog.

A unique story for your unique entryway. These entryways are hand-crafted in the Orient one at a time and will vary in appearance. Antique Douglas Fir doors use reclaimed wood timbers that are 80 to 150 years old. As the “old Asia” is being replaced by new, sleek office towers, our craftsmen are reclaiming the ancient ceiling and roof timbers, beams and columns from these old buildings, and creating these stunning doors and entryways. The Douglas Fir originated in the Pacific Northwest in the 1800’s, and the timber was sent to Asia on sailing schooners to be used as building materials. Now, many years later, we are bringing this old wood home to the USA in the form of these beautiful and unique doors.

The decorative iron work in these doors is all hand wrought and forged, and therefore will vary slightly in appearance and texture. The Knotty Alder wood features large knots in the wood to complement the unique appearance of the doors. The Antique Douglas Fir doors feature a heavy distressed texture on the wood. Decorative Glass Panel Options For Dynasty Doors

The Valencia and Ravenna designs include double-thick insulated decorative glass panels in eight different glass texture options shown below. All include tempered safety glass. The Cascade, Rhapsody, Espirit and Coral options are the most “obscure”options available.

All Dynasty Doors are pre-hung into matching wood frames, and the entire entryway is pre-finished in one of the
available colors options shown below (not all doors are available in each color option).
