GlassCraft offers the most extensive selection of transoms available.

Transoms . . . the “window” above the door . . . are used to create stunning and dramatic entryways. In addition to the “standard” transoms shown in our catalogs, GlassCraft can also produce a custom-made transom for your home.

GlassCraft’s “in-house” custom manufacturing capability can produce a one-of-a-kind transom or complete entryway system to your design specifications. Our catalogs include a wide range of entryway suggestions and entryway configurations. Or you may fax or email your drawing for a custom quotation.

Four standard transom shapes are available from stock, each with many glass design options and size options. For the Transom Glass panel, you may choose from Black, Brass or Pewter finish construction metal color for most designs. All transoms are “sash set” (see below) and are produced using insulated IG glass.

The available “in stock” shapes include rectangular, elliptical, half round, and a segment-head elliptical transom. Each of these four transom shapes are available in three standard widths and two standard depths or thicknesses to fit many different entry and wall thickness configurations.

Sash Set Transoms

Our transoms are all “Sash-Set”, which means that the glass panel is first glazed into a wooden sash, which is then installed into the wooden frame. This construction method Sash-Set option offers vertical alignment of the transom glass panel with the door glass panel and/or the sidelight glass panels below the transom.

Any of our transom glass designs may be ordered in custom shapes and sizes to fit other installation requirements and designs. In addition, custom transoms are available for any design requirements.
